Learn how Raytheon and RightStar replaced and modernized the USAF Air Operations Center (AOC)’s legacy service desk with Jira Service Desk from idea to go-live in just ten short months. Attendees will also learn about the use of Jira Service Desk and other collaboration tools hosted in the Defense Intelligence Information Enterprise (DI2E) GovCloud and the benefits of a hosted environment over the legacy on-premise solution. It is no wonder that DI2E already supports more than 40,000 DOD and IC users.

The session also describes the Kessel Run VaDER model and Agile/Sprint approach to identify the requirements, develop a prototype, test, train and go-live in a wave approach. Lessons learned include the use of automation tools to assist in tracking down the backlog to the very last critical requirement delivered. The end result: the AOC has a modern system, hosted in the DI2E GovCloud that delivered on all requirements at a considerable software and hardware savings.
