Tiffany Trusty’s motto is, “Use your Nerd Superpowers for good!”. She has had a unique career path through tech over the past 22 years. After being the 2nd female grad from a previously all male, #1 in its class engineering school, she started her journey here in Chicago with Motorola Solutions. After a rewarding, 16 year career with the company (telecommuting for 15 years of it), she dove into the tech scene in Indianapolis as a web & Android freelancer. Her passion for enabling her beloved tech community led her to join a non-profit, Eleven Fifty Academy, dedicated to bridging the talent gap in Indiana. Tiffany left the academy as a Director to start up her own venture, Trusty Applications. After only 6 months in business, Tiffany was recruited to join Eli Lilly, where she now works to create Digital Products to enable their “Connected Diabetes Ecosystem” (which she can’t talk about, so don’t ask;). A common theme (aside from the superpowers) in the 22 years has been a devotion to diversity…. Diversity of thought and a focus on that culture makes great innovations happen.
